Hello,

For my project i try to Drag a item from a datagrid witch contains items to be planned (not currently start and end date set and not in the gantt dataprovider) to the gantt chart.

I would like to get the drop start date for the new item and the row where I drop it.

How can i do these actions ?

I'm using for testing the demo version downloaded from the website.

As i see it's not the lasted version. Could you provide a demo version for the last release ?

Hello Michael,

Gantt4Flex does not offer support for drag and drop from and to other components at the moment. What I suggest in your case is to use the 'ganttDataGrid'  and make the drop there.

You could add the segment directly in the dataProvider and by default position it in the center of the display interval and set a default size. Then you can automatically select it and let the user edit.

I can't finde the 'ganttDataGrid'.

'datagrid' is part of the GanttDiagramFigure, but that is the left datagrid. I'd like to drop something into the right datagrid.

Thanks Dennis

Hello Dennis,

This is not possible, that's why I suggested drop in the dataGrid and not on the gantt chart area.
You may create new item on drop and place it in the dataProvider of your gantt and let the user edit after this.
