Hi,

Is there a way to change the actual date for the NowIndicatorLine? Otherwise I have to create always new gantt data before I start a demo for a customer. I will be very happy if you can schedule this for a new release version.

Thanks Dennis

Hello Dennis,

It is true that the existent NowIndicatorLine shows only the current date time. It is refreshed automatically when the display interval is updated.

We have in plans a more general IndicatorLine that will show a provided date.

Luiza

sounds good! Just as idea, it would be wonderful to drag & drop the indicator line to another date. Thanks Dennis

Hi Luiza,

I tried to use the new HighlightInterval in your 2.0 preRelease. Could you explain what is new in this Version? I have still the problem, if I set the HighlightInterval to just one hour (e.g. 11-12 o'clock) , it will disapear if I zoom out. Also I can't drag and drop the interval.

Is it so complicated to let me set the date of the NowIndicatorLine? I guess this is more what I need, than the HighlightIntervals.

Is there just a function I can override to set the date in NowIndicator Class? In this case I will create my own NowIndicator Class.

Thanks Dennis

Hello Dennis,

By default, the HighlightIntervals tend to disappear if they become too small, so if you zoom out your gantt it is natural to happen because you no longer see details.

However you may check the property 'minDisplayThreshold' in HighlightInterval.
It has a default value of 10 pixels.
When the length of the interval (in your case - one hour) becomes smaller then 10 pixels, the highlight is no longer painted.

Sounds a bit complicated, so I have to check the minDisplayThreshold every time I zoom in or zoom out? No chance to get the NowIndicatorLine working?

Dennis,

You should just make it smaller when creating the HighlightInterval. Try 1 for instance.

Regarding the NowIndicatorLine, we will try to include it in the next version, but we are not sure it will be ready in time.

Luiza

Luiza,

I tried to use the minDisplayThreshold. I set it to value 5. That works as expected but not for all zoom levels. Is will disappear if I zoom some levels out. Is there a way to get that fixed? My HighlightInterval end is just one hour greater than the start. Is that the problem?

My second question is, what do I need to drag & drop a Highlight Interval?

Thanks Dennis

Luiza,

I still need a way to simulate other date lines. I can't change the NowIndicator Line and I can't create a new NowIndicator.

So I tried to use the HighlightInterval. But I need to know, how to Drag&Drop a HighlightInterval. It is not possible to addEventListener like DRAG_ENTER, DRAG_DROP or other.

Thanks Dennis

Hi,

is it possible to let the HighlightInterval appear over my segments like the NowIndicator Line?

Thanks Dennis

Hello Dennis,

No, this is not possible,  Grids and HighlightIntervals stay always in the background
